Kim Kash is a freelance writer based in the Washington, DC area, where she writes about food, health, and the environment. She is particularly interested in the local foods movement, and is the co-founder of the Greenbelt Farmers Market. She was born and raised in Greenbelt, Maryland, and lived for several years in California. Living on the west coast gave her a deeper appreciation for the seasons and the weathered charm of the mid-Atlantic states.
